Our acquisitions and logistics professionals support all aspects of facility management, including acquisitions, construction, renovation, and operations. They also provide logistical support through mail services, warehousing, and telecommunications. Their valuable expertise ensures the FBI operates smoothly.

Examples of Acquisitions and Logistics Roles

  • Facility operations specialists provide program support for facility management, construction, and renovation activities at FBI-owned and leased facilities nationwide.

  • Realty specialists apply their broad knowledge of techniques and methods used in commercial real estate and project management principles to provide suitable, modern, safe, and secure FBI working environments and facilities.

  • Purchasing agents make decisions on purchasing strategy by analyzing specifications, sole source justifications, item descriptions, catalogs, historical purchases, and previous bidders.

Qualifications and Eligibility

Minimum Qualifications

For most acquisitions and logistics positions, you must have a bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university in a related field of study.

Facility operations specialists should have:

  • Experience in facilities management including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, and fire alarm management

  • Additional consideration will be given to applicants who are already certified as a Facility Management Professional (FMP) or Certified Facility Manager (CFM)
